Program Types & Payout Rules
This article explains the differences between Edge One, Edge Core, and Edge X, including how drawdown works and what payout rules apply to each program.
Overview
EdgeProp offers three distinct program types, each designed for a specific trading style and level of flexibility.
The key differences between programs are how drawdown is calculated and what rules apply once you reach a funded account.
Important: Your selected program defines your risk model and payout conditions. It cannot be changed after purchase.
Edge One (End-of-Day Trailing Drawdown)
Edge One uses an End-of-Day (EOD) trailing drawdown model, offering a more stable and realistic trading environment.
Trailing drawdown is calculated based on end-of-day balance
No intraday liquidation from temporary drawdowns
Allows trades to fluctuate during the session
In funded accounts, standard payout rules apply:
Minimum trading days required before payout
Minimum profit threshold (e.g. $200 between payouts)
Consistency rules must be respected
This program is ideal for traders who want flexibility during the day but still operate under structured payout conditions.
Edge Core (Intraday Trailing Drawdown)
Edge Core uses an intraday trailing drawdown model, meaning risk is managed in real-time throughout the trading session.
Trailing drawdown updates continuously during the day
Positions are actively limited by real-time risk thresholds
Encourages tighter risk control and discipline
In funded accounts, the same payout rules apply as Edge One:
Minimum trading days required
Minimum profit between payouts
Consistency rules enforced
This program is best suited for traders who are comfortable managing risk dynamically throughout the session.
Edge X (No Payout Restrictions)
Edge X is a premium program designed for experienced traders who want maximum flexibility and fewer restrictions in funded accounts.
End-of-Day trailing drawdown model
Focus on performance and capital growth
Built for advanced traders
In funded accounts, Edge X removes standard payout restrictions:
No consistency rules
Minimum trading days required before payout
Minimum profit threshold (e.g. $200 between payouts)
This program is designed for traders who already operate with discipline and want full control over their profits.
What Is the Safety Net?
The safety net represents the minimum account balance that must be maintained at all times.
In Edge X, profits can be withdrawn freely as long as the account remains above this level.
Final Note:
Each program is built for a different type of trader. Edge One offers flexibility with structure, Edge Core enforces discipline through real-time risk, while Edge X provides maximum freedom for experienced traders.
